Marty obtained a Bachelor of Law from the University of British Columbia in May 1977. Marty received invaluable experience and advice from the top British Columbia trial lawyers of the time, while working for the firm of Braidwood Nuttal and McKenzie Brewer in Vancouver.

In 1979, Marty relocated with his family to the Okanagan Valley and was eagerly sought out by the Provincial Crown Counsel to join their prosecution team. After three years of working as a trial lawyer with the prosecution team, Marty left the public service and has excelled with his own private practice for the past number of years in Kelowna and throughout the Southern Interior of British Columbia.

Experienced in all levels of the British Columbia Court System, Marty has enjoyed significant success at all levels. With a reputation of vigorously championing the rights of his clients, while not being apprehensive of a good challenge, his extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of Personal Injury, Negligence, Criminal and Civil Law are a benefit to all who seek his advice.

Amid his busy practice, Marty manages to dedicate vast amounts of his time to the recovery community and the Lawyer's Assistance Program. Incorporating his personal interests into helping others, Marty is also an avid motorcyclist and a contributing member of A.I.M. (Association of Injured Motorcyclists).
